I only wear them when it's really hot as they make me very conscious of the the fact that they're about the minimum level of protection that you can get away with.

So....I guess my point is the *style* of shoe/boot has it's place. Can't speak to the specific shoe you picked up. They look comfy though.

As mentioned, usually a higher level of protection; reinforced heels, toes and soles. As long as some ankle protection, I'm good with it.
